Say that part twice, because the packaging looks like a sibling of the blue CLASSIC bottle and people assume they are the same formula with different flavouring. They are not. Kava Mate replaces the kratom leaf with yerba mate. That is confirmed directly by Botanic Tonics on their ingredients page.

So the trade is: you keep the kava, you lose the kratom, and you gain caffeine. That puts this closer to a kava energy drink than to a plain kava shot.

Published actives per 1oz serving, two servings per bottle: 260mg of total kavalactones from noble kava root extract, roughly 60mg of caffeine from brewed yerba mate, and about 12mg of theobromine.

Because there is no kratom in it, this bottle carries no habit-forming warning and no 21+ restriction from the manufacturer. We still sell it 21 and over, because that is how we run this shop.
